We are Energy Star Partners. We have completed the National Association of Home Builders’ coursework for Green Professional certification.

That being said, we are not “Environmental Evangelists” spreading the “Green Gospel.” For us, green technologies have to make sense and ultimately it is the clients we represent so we need to support their choices. Building green is quite simply a manifestation of our core values. As we see it if one values the earth one considers the impact his or her choices will have on it. Only five years ago it seemed far more difficult to get the Green concepts to resonate with home owners. Today Green alternatives, particularly with regard to energy consumption, are simply part of the zeitgeist.

Typical specifications we see on our projects are: open cell foam insulation, high efficiency heating equipment such as geo thermal, and heat pumps. Furnaces, boilers and water heaters will generally be condensing models. Additionally, using systems like penalization or modular is inherently greener.
